Beautiful blackcurrant coloured buds open to deep purple flowers in midsummer. We love this unusual Agapanthus - the darkest flowered variety we stock. The flowers are held like bluebells when open, slightly drooping to enhance their tubular shape, very striking.
Agapanthus like it hot, sunny and well-drained for prolific midsummer flowering. Choose a sunny spot to promote healthy plants with lots of flowers. Agapanthus are great in a container or grown directly in the ground.
If kept in a containerised display - feed and water during the growing season, and avoid the plant's rootstock freezing during the coldest months of the year. Put the container somewhere it will not become waterlogged or completely frozen during winter. Be careful not to over-pot to maximise the amount of flower produced. Fully herbaceous in winter.
Flowering height at maturity: 70-80cm
Pot size at dispatch: 11cm
