Olives

There has to be some advantages to climate change and this is certainly one of them. It is possible to grow and crop your own olives outdoors in the UK. It's not exactly going to scare the Italian olive growers but who cares. For a bit of fun and a lot of satisfaction grow your own olives to enjoy with that gin and tonic (with the lemon from your own citrus tree). Truly spectacular. Some of our fantastic trees are hundreds of years old and are looking for a good home.

Fantastic little plants. Ideal as a pair either side of a front or back door.

1 metre overall height (inc. container) with a 30-40 cm head.

Olea europaea 'Picual'

A new olive to the UK. We have over 250 of these in the ground! We think this is the most suitable olive available for producing good quality fruit in the UK. Early harvest with good sized fruit.

These olives are over 2 metres (7ft) tall (inc. pot).

Olive A

A beautiful gnarled trunk. This particular olive has a trunk height of 50cm with a trunk girth of over a metre! Overall height is 5 ft (excluding the container) The olive in the picture is olive A. We have more like this which I will try to get listed.

A truly massive olive that has been around for at least 180 years!

Plant height is over 9 ft tall with a trunk height of 1 metre and trunk girth of at least 1.8 metres. This is a big beast so will need machinery to move it. An absolute stunner!
