Acer palmatum 'Katsura' AGM

Acer Katsura is a slightly taller Japanese Maple with an eventual height of approximately 4M in 20 years, acers are slow growing trees. 'Katsura' has beautiful lobed leaves which emerge orange in the Spring and gradually turn from orange-pink through to green by mid summer and then back to bright orange again in Autumn before leaf fall. Plant in a sunny spot but not in a south facing position as this will probably scorch the leaves, so a 'bright' spot is ideal or part shade. A sheltered position out of strong winds and plant in a fertile, well drained soil.
