Miscanthus Sinensis 'Flamingo'

Miscanthus sinensis 'Flamingo' AGM is a wonderful variety of miscanthus; a real favourite of ours, it is a neat upright grass with gently arching foliage reaching approximately 1.7 - 2M. The fine leaves have a white stripe running in the centre and the abundant flowers which are produced in summer-autumn are a striking deep pink which then fade to a lovely silver colour in the winter. We always recommend to keep the foliage and flowers over winter and in the following spring they can be cut down hard to allow the new growth to emerge. Miscanthus like a fairly moist but well drained soil.
