A large flowering Dahlia, Sam Hopkins is an absolute showstopper with rich, velvet red blooms which are 10-15cm across and are held up sturdily by long strong stems. Dahlia 'Sam Hopkins' is a decorative dahlia type and makes a wonderful cut flower for the vase as well as a beautiful addition to the herbaceous border. This dahlia looks amazing with other colour contrasting dahlias such as 'Tartan', 'Night Butterfly' 'Karma Corona' or 'Onesta'. Plant in full sun in a well drained, fertile, rich soil. Water and feed well (Lou's Poo Fertiliser) during the growing season.
