Care Notes

Chamaerops humilis 'Vulcano' is a gorgeous form of Chamaerops humilis, Vulcano has a lovely silvery underside to it's leaves, it has a compact, upright growing habit so the leaves will reveal their silvery colouring. This size palm is brilliant for sending out to you and can easily be potted up or planted into the garden at anytime of the year. This size plant will also make a wonderful present or gift. As it's name suggests, this palm originally hails from Sicily below the slopes of Etna. Chamaerops are evergreen plants so will look great all year round and they look wonderful planted with other architectural plants.

We send a care note out with all our plants.

If you require a pot to plant your palm in, we recommend http://www.vasotoscano.com/ for beautiful terracotta pots.

  • Situation Open Close

Chamaerops like a well-drained moderately fertile soil, however it will also tolerate a poor soil. An open sunny situation is ideal, it does not mind a windy situation.
