Acer palmatum 'Dissectum'

Acer palmatum 'Dissectum' is a lovely ornamental tree, ideal for the smaller garden or pot. Like most Japanese Maples it is slow growing, Dissectum is a mound forming tree with very finely dissected foliage, in Spring the new leaves emerge fresh-green and in autumn they turn beautiful shades of orange, yellow and red before falling. Plant in a well drained, fertile soil and out of cold winds. This Japanese Maple will grow well in part shade, it can take sun but the fine foliage could become a little desiccated in very hot sun.
