Polypodium vulgare

Polypodium vulgare is a pretty, evergreen fern reminiscent of Victorian gardens. This Polypody fern is easy to grow in a moderately fertile soil which is not too dry, it can establish on a drier soil but would need to be well watered in the first season. Ferns always benefit from a good mulch, plant in a sunny-part shade aspect. Would look particularly attractive planted around the base of a tree fern.
